Obae Lighthouse

Obae Lighthouse is located at the northernmost point of Ikitsuki Island, reached by crossing the Ikitsuki Bridge and driving along a coastal route favored by many travelers. The lighthouse stands quietly on a white cliff edge, with a sheer cliff about 100 meters high rising dramatically nearby.

This lighthouse features a rare observation deck accessible by stairs. From the top, visitors can enjoy an unobstructed 360-degree panoramic view. On clear days, the horizon and surrounding scattered islands come into sight, creating the impression of standing above the sea. The location offers a setting where the sea breeze passes through as the vast natural scenery unfolds.

The surrounding landscape includes steep cliffs about 100 meters tall, from which the turbulent waves and surf can be seen crashing below. The coastal road approaching the lighthouse offers continually changing views of the sea.
