Yumiharidake Observatory

Yumiharidake Observatory is situated near the summit of Mount Yumihari, offering clear views throughout both day and night. From the elevated observation deck, visitors can see the intricate terrain of Sasebo’s harbor alongside the blue sea.

During the daytime, the landscape reveals a three-dimensional beauty under the blue sky. The view includes the Sasebo port with its shipyard cranes and moving vessels, the lush islands of Kujukushima floating in the sea, and the cityscape spreading around the harbor.

At night, the city lights turn on, reflecting on the water’s surface of the harbor and creating a different panorama. The spacious deck area provides an open atmosphere where groups and pairs pause quietly to take in the scenery. The changing sky colors correspond with the views of Sasebo port and city, as people spend time observing the surroundings from the observatory.
