Raizan Sennyoji Daihiouin

Nestled in the peaceful mountains of Itoshima City, Raizan Sennyūji Daihiouin is a historic Buddhist temple surrounded by lush nature. Its expansive gardens showcase seasonal beauty year-round, with the vibrant autumn maple leaves, including a 400-year-old tree designated as a natural monument, being a highlight. Visitors can enjoy serene green landscapes in spring and summer, tranquil stone statues, and the picturesque Shinji Pond. Inside the Kannon Hall, you can see the impressive 4.6-meter tall wooden Eleven-Faced Thousand-Armed Kannon statue, a nationally important cultural property.
