A Beautiful Waterfall Packed with Negative Ions
With a drop of about 24 meters, the waterfall gets its name (“white thread”) from the way the water gracefully streams down the rock face like strands of white silk. Designated as a scenic beauty spot by Fukuoka Prefecture, it allows visitors to get up close to feel the cool mist and breathe in the fresh, negative-ion-rich air.

Fun Activities for Everyone
The area offers great outdoor activities, such as Nagashi-somen (floating noodles caught with chopsticks in bamboo flutes, available in summer) and Yamame (mountain trout) fishing in the crystal-clear streams.
