About this place
Tadewara Wetlands is a natural wetland area located in Tano, Kokonoe Town, Oita Prefecture. Positioned against the distant backdrop of the expansive Kuju Mountain Range, it attracts many visitors throughout the year who come to explore the area.
Within the wetlands, there is a well-maintained wooden walkway that allows people to walk comfortably without concern for the uneven terrain typical of wetland environments. From this elevated path, visitors can see a clear view extending over green pastures under the blue sky, with the strong outlines of the Kuju Mountain Range stretching across the horizon.
In summer, a variety of colorful flowers bloom across the grasslands, attracting numerous butterflies that flutter above the vegetation. Closer to the ground, small wild plants appear, adding detail to the scene. Visitors walk along the wooden path with cameras in hand or pause to observe the surroundings, each engaging with the natural environment at their own pace.
