Tenkaiho Observatory

Tenkaiho Observatory is situated on a hill in Shimofunagosecho, Sasebo City, offering clear views of the blue sky and sea stretching out to the horizon. This viewpoint provides a vantage point to observe the intricate coastline and numerous islands scattered across the water.

From the elevated location, visitors can see the landscape of Kujukushima, where over 200 green-covered islands are visible. The unobstructed view allows for careful observation of the area’s varying terrain.

At the base of the observatory, there is a maintained garden where seasonal flowers bloom in a variety of colors. The garden area is designed for leisurely strolls while experiencing the outdoor environment, creating a setting that combines the blue sea, islands, and seasonal floral displays.
