Umikirara Aquarium

Umikirara Aquarium is located in Kanokoemae-cho, Sasebo City, along a coastal resort area where the sea breeze flows through. The aquarium offers views of the scenic islands in the area known as Kujuku Islands.

The interior of the aquarium is designed to allow natural light to enter, creating a modern atmosphere. Visitors can see schools of fish swimming in illuminated tanks. The exhibits focus on the local ecosystem, showcasing the variety of marine life found in the Kujuku Islands’ waters. There are tanks replicating the local sea environment where visitors can observe the behavior and habitats of these creatures.

Additionally, the aquarium features dynamic shows with dolphins performing jumps in the pool. Located by the seashore, the facility allows people to enjoy both the marine displays and coastal views. Families and travelers come to watch the fish and dolphin movements in the brightly lit space.
